Resolutions and Goals: March Edition

Sorry I'm tardy with this one- I was busy enjoying Opening Day and the first day Tres and I both had off in weeks- thanks to the lovely call-off I got Monday.  Also, sunshine- welcome back old friend! Feel free to stay awhile.

1. Blog More- March saw...5 blog posts- which averages about one a week.  Much better than February, but mostly about the exciting things that I got to do this month.  Hopefully April will bring a few more Deep Thoughts etc.
2. Buy a House- No real changes on that one- still in the painfully slow waiting period of this short sale.  My realtor and I have been asked for some extra paperwork here and there, which leads me to believe something IS actually happening on the other end, and hopefully we'll hear back soon.  I am only technically "in contract" until April 18th, so maybe the deadline is making them want to move a little faster.  My roommate moves out at the end of this month, at which time my already-annoyingly-high rent doubles- so I'm hoping I won't be waiting for too much longer (ya hear that BofA?!  Remember how I've been a loyal customer of yours since I was ten years old? Do a girl a favor, will ya?!)
3. Stop Buying New Clothes-  I spent $10 on a tshirt from American Eagle- my one impulse buy so far- and when I tried to wear it today, I couldn't find it.  Further proving my point that I already have too many clothes and need to stop shopping.  That brings my yearly budget down to $422.  Perhaps one of the only benefits of working Easter Sunday was not having needing getting to buy an Easter dress- a tradition in my family for as long as I can remember.  There's always next year :)  I was so proud of my lack of spending in March that I promptly went on a mini-shopping spree Monday.  Good work, Vickie!   You'll have to wait until the end of the month to hear about those purchases though.
4. Finish Projects-  I'm beginning to think this wasn't a great goal, if my solution was to just stop doing them.  I imagine that if when I get into a new house, there will be projects a-plenty.
5.  Go Back to School- I filled out the paperwork to begin classes at UMD this fall, so that's progress I guess.

And without further ado, what has become perhaps my favorite part of these blog posts, if only to prove that I get to hang out with them more frequently than you do- a picture of me, Elle Dub and Courtney with Coco when she was visiting.  (Shout out to Tres who took the picture, which was a much better one than the one the other lady took so he could be in...)
