Channeling my inner Leslie Knope
Blog analytics are a strange thing. For starters, I don't know whether to believe them. For instance, blogger tells me that my blog was viewed almost 600 times in March. um. why. what was I supposed to be posting about in March that I missed? I have not posted one single time this year and yet someone, (or 600 someones?) continues to check to see what's going on in my little corner of the interwebs. well luckily for them, I've given up social media for a little while in an attempt to be more productive with my schooling. Mostly, I've just been having such intense FOMO feelings when I see all of the fun everyone else is having, that I had to give my head a break. So, naturally, I'm back on the good ole bloggity-blog. Because it's the middle of the night at work, and I can't spend my time scrolling through instagram.
Also, I wanted to have it on the record somewhere just how crazy life is for me right now. Like I'm very aware that this is just TOO busy, but there isn't really another option right now and I'm literally counting down the days to graduation. 86 if you're wondering. So here's a breakdown of what my weekly life looks like.
Monday
Leave the house at 6am
Work 7a-7:30p
Arrive at MC at 8:30
Get home from MC at 10pm
Time spent away from home: 16hrs
Tuesday
Leave the house at 6am
Work 7a-7:30 p
Get home at 8:30pm
Time spent away from home: 14 hrs
Wednesday
Leave home at 7:45am
Practicum at the Baltimore City Health Department 8:30-4:30
Get home at 6pm
Time spent away from home: 10.25 hrs
Thursday
Leave home at 7:45am
Practicum at BCHD: 8:30-12:30
Class @ UMD 1-7:30pm
Arrive at home 8:15pm
Time spent away from home: 12.5 hrs
Friday
Leave home at 5:45pm
Work 7p-7:30am
Get home at 8:30am
Time spent away from home: 14.75
Total time spent away from home M-F: 67.5hrs
Saturday & Sunday
Sleep / Flip back to Days
Do homework
Church
Spend time with Husband/Friends/Family
Now some weeks I work the weekend so my week looks different, but in general, I'm out of the house about 70 hours a week and that doesn't include any social events or homework. Somehow in the next 12 weeks I have to find the time to write 60 pages, a complete clinical work report and put together 3 presentations. No big deal.
86 days. This will be on repeat in my head every single one of them.
